WOOF search dogs are special canines - They have the drive, focus, and stamina to work in difficult terrain under extreme weather conditions for extended amounts of time. WOOF handlers work right along side their dogs under the same conditions, day and night. Handlers and their dogs are teams in every sense of the word - training, playing, and living together. WOOF has a history of lifesaving rescues.

Different WOOF handlers work different dog breeds based on personal preferences. WOOF enjoys having a diversity of dog breeds including german sheperds, retrievers (labs and goldens), belgian teurvurens, and mixed breeds. WOOF handlers are as diverse as their dogs in terms of field specialization and search interests. What is a shared trait among the handlers is the dedication to working dogs for search and rescue.
